Craft Projects

I really like doing craft projects. But like everything else unless I set a goal and a deadline I have no chance of getting any done! So my goal for this weekend is to come up with some craft projects that I want to do and set a goal for when they will be done. Does anyone else like to do craft projects? I learned to crochet in Chile and I was practicing again today so I don't forget! A crochet project will be on the list!

Spring!

I spent the morning at Como Zoo with a friend and enjoyed the sun and warmth! So nice! I even opened the windows in my car as I was driving home because I got too hot with the windows closed! Even though I don't trust the "10 day" forecast at all I would be super happy if the high is actually above 50 from Saturday-Thursday!! :) Hopefully I'll get a picture up tomorrow!

I seem to have gotten even worse at practicing my violin! Oops!! I joined the Minnetonka Civic Orchestra a little over a month ago and I always forget to practice until Sunday and Monday (we have practice on Monday evenings). Today I opted out of playing violin and went to the movie "Hugo" instead which means tomorrow morning I have some serious practicing to do since our concert is less than a week away! I really enjoy playing violin (and piano) but I always have a hard time remembering to practice! I need to work on that!

I've been working at Target for the past 3 months. Many days it feels like I am back in high school and that I haven't really come that far even though I spent 4 years in college and a year in England (clearly I am not the same person I was almost 6 years ago when I started working at Target). Yet I find myself oddly content with my job. I know I am not living up to my potential while working as a cashier/guest service/food ave/GSA but for now it works for me. Is that so bad? I feel pressure from society and my family to do more than this and I know that I want to but maybe I'm not ready yet....and everyday I feel like a failure for thinking that.

*I didn't even turn my computer on yesterday so that is why there was no post.

Happy March!!!

I love this calendar I got in France :) Such cute graphics!! March is a new month and I'm trying to think positive and I hope that March is a fun and productive month. Like most days when I'm not working, I didn't get much accomplished today and I'm hoping to change this! I did laundry, shoveled, applied to a job and organized a bit but that really isn't much for a WHOLE day!! I really think that I get so much more done when I am busier.

Also, it was not a good choice to buy Synder's Honey Mustard and Onion pretzels yesterday....they are almost gone!
March has a lot to offer - Emily comes home, Spring starts, St. Patrick's Day and I have an orchestra concert. I hope to make the most of this month!
